Each morning I write seven pages of stream of consciousness that I plan to never read again. Now I'm writing something enduring and to be witnessed. It is much trickier, as now I imagine what your impression might be and how I can make it what I'd like it to be.. and then I decide I'd like not to make it any way and forget about you and your impression altogether.

I am in the UK. I'm listening to Willy O Winsbury for another time. It makes me feel very wistful. I discovered Pentangle in the book I'm reading: Finding Albion. It's about the alternative spirit of Britain; pagan and folk history, tradition, and their modern manifestations. No better time to read it. I feel like I am here to find Albion.

I went to the Tate to see William Blake, who painted and wrote of a personified Albion. There was only one of his paintings there. When I was little, Mum used to read me "The Tyger". Today I am enjoying "The Fly" (see pictured).
